The New Normal

Life during times of Corona It was March, my birthday month. I officially turned 35 this year. My birthday was the last working day physically as from the very next day, I was in a setup of Work from home or WFH because of the pandemic Corona which struck worldwide and India was also in a lockdown. Being a teacher and an academic facilitator, this WHF setup was new and different with virtual classrooms being setup in Skype and teaching students online. But now two months into this WFH setup, this feels like a new normal till situation returns to normalcy.  The new routine fast catching up with extra household chores and never ending work. Staying home mostly, going out only for essentials or getting things home delivered, sanitising things, wearing masks, gloves, using sanitisers ...life suddenly is different yet believing that this too shall pass with taking one day at a time... Stay safe, stay home.

I continued my banking career for almost five years in two different cities, Vadodara and Kolkata and then consciously took a break as I was not personally enjoying my work.  Then I was into coaching students while I was still in Kolkata. Then I moved to Mumbai before two years and was completely into household responsibilities fulltime with no time to even think of a career option.
